Merit Scholarships: Pine and Patriot Programs
The Pine Scholarship Information and Application
Pine Scholarships are offered annually to students new to The Pine School at the 9th or 10th grade level and to continuing students entering grade 9 or grade 10. This program is "need blind" and is offered to students who are academically strong, with special talents in the area of the arts, athletics, community service/civic responsibility, and/or leadership. A completed application form and required documents must be received by the Director of Admission prior to March 1st in order for a student to be considered for this scholarship program.
The Patriot Scholarship Information and Application
Thanks to the efforts of community members to raise funds through the annual event "100 Years of Cars", The Pine School Patriot Scholarship is available to students who:
-are the children of veterans or United States military personnel;
-are eligible for admission to The Pine School;
-are in or entering grades 9 through 11;
-complete an application for the Pine School Patriot Scholarship;
-demonstrate financial need.
The Patriot Scholarship is awarded toward the cost of tuition at The Pine School. The amount awarded in an academic year varies but does not exceed $15,000 a year in new awards during the first three years of the program (academic years 2008-09, 2009-10, 2010-2011). More than one scholarship may be made each year within the funding limits of the program. Students who have been awarded a Patriot Scholarship continue to receive the scholarship through their senior year, dependent on the student's satisfactory performance at The Pine School.
Scholarship applications are reviewed by the school's Scholarship Committee. Applications can be obtained at any time from the Admission Office at The Pine School, 772-675-7005, or from the link above.
Applications must be submitted by March 1st each year. The Scholarship Committee reserves the right to interview finalists for the scholarship during the month of March. Awards are announced in early April.
